Marketing can be done in so many different ways. Blogs for example are one way of marketing and setting yourself up as an industry leader. How about emails? Emails can be beneficial if done properly as well. Here are a few tips to help you on what makes a good email marketing campaign.
- Your subject line. At least 80% of emails are read on a mobile device, so you have to make sure your subject line is catchy and grab their attention in a brief description. Some emails only allow 35 characters to be seen on a mobile device, so keep that in mind! Doing this increases your changes of them opening your email over the other marketers out there.
- Variety. Using Infographics, having surveys, and using videos are all good examples of items to include in your emails. Again, set your company apart from others in your industry so you become an industry leader. Sometimes giving tutorials can be extremely useful. You may completely spell out how to do something in a video and the person watching tries it and just can’t grasp it. Guess what, they already saw you do it, so they will more than likely pick up the phone and call you to do it for them.
- Content. Although content only contains 7 letters, it is one of the most powerful words when it comes to emails, and your website as far as that is concerned. Make sure your content covers what you out as the subject line. Use descriptive words to capture your audience, but try and not be too technical. You want everyone to be able to understand what you are saying. Keep it light as well. Do not make it too long, for people will lose attention and close out of the email. Include a clear call to action. What are you wanting them to do? Call you, visit your website, or what? Make sure that is clear as well.
- Get Feedback. Feedback only helps you grow. Make sure to include friends and family in marketing emails so they can give you objective feedback so you can continue to grow. We can always learn something new everyday, and that makes it easier to know how to change things to make them better and more efficient.
