Personally, we try and support our local businesses as much as possible. Sometimes price does make a difference on certain things, but don’t forget about quality as well. When you are supporting a small, local business who has products that were MADE in the U.S.A., not only are you supporting that U.S.A. but helping put that small business owners child through a soccer league, or maybe dance classes. You’re supporting your local community, not the big corporate vacations, 2nd homes and HUGE salaries. Going small is a big, round circle of helping other small businesses as well.
The same goes for website companies. Many jobs are outsourced overseas. Guidelines may be completely different in other countries and standards are not the same. The old saying, you get what you pay for holds true! When you are looking for a web designer, make sure to ask if they do the work in house or if they outsource the work outside of the U.S. There are several companies we have come across that sell you a job, then outsource it and make a lot of money off of you!
